It is interesting to see how the PS4 version of the game compares to the Ultra quality on PC. We were able to max out the game easily at the Ultra quality preset. We tested the game running on a Core i5 4670 clocked at 3.4 GHz and a GTX 760 2 GB. The PC version of the game is also well optimized and can run quite decently on a mid-range PC. The above comparison shows the graphical difference between both platforms quite clearly. The graphics are decent enough considering the age of the hardware, and aside from the performance dipping during some taxing scenes, the rest of the port shows a good effort from Ubisoft. To start off, there is no screen tearing unlike the constant annoying tearing of Far Cry 3 on Xbox 360 and PS3. While Far Cry 3 was a terrible mess on the PS3 and Xbox 360, its successor is surprisingly a decent port on the previous generation platforms. It is utilizing the same engine as Far Cry 3, internally called as Dunia Engine. Far Cry 4 is a brand new entry in the open world first person sandbox adventure from Ubisoft.
